Congratulations to Code Avengers for their well-deserved win at the 2017 New Zealand CIO awards.  Code Avengers won the 'Engaging Youth in ICT' award this year for their gamified approach to training secondary and tertiary students how to code.  Code Avengers has registered 1.5 Million students since 2012 and they are committed to quality education.

This year Code Avengers began trailing their Junior Code Avengers platform.  Learning Developments director, Troy Smith, was involved from the early concept stages with initial planning, course writing, and instructional design. Code Avengers secured government funding to develop the platform for the emergent digital technology curriculum in New Zealand.  Learning Developments are proud to be involved with such a successful and innovative eLearning education company.

Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu have partnered with Code Avengers to provide learning resources for NCEA students this year and to help pilot the junior platform.  This will see the audience for Code Avengers grow potentially by 25,000 in 2018.  Troy Smith from learning developments has been instrumental in helping form and build this relationship.

This award shows that Code Avengers are at the forefront of teaching the Digital Technology curriculum.  Learning Developments know that their relationship with Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu will help bring high quality teaching and learning to all of their students and soon at all levels.
